Risk & Educational Disclaimer

My PaperTrader is a learning tool. This page explains, plainly, what that means and where its limits are. It's short on purpose — please read all of it.

No real money. No real trades.

Every balance, position, and trade in My PaperTrader is simulated. You cannot deposit or withdraw money. Nothing you do here reaches a real exchange. Your virtual balance has no cash value and cannot be redeemed or transferred.

We are not a broker, dealer, exchange, bank, or investment adviser, and we are not registered as any of those.

Nothing here is financial advice

My PaperTrader does not know your income, debts, goals, tax situation, time horizon, or risk tolerance — and it does not know what you should do with your money. Nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

If you want advice about your real money, talk to a qualified, licensed financial professional.

About the AI features

My PaperTrader includes AI-generated analysis: per-stock leanings (bullish/bearish/neutral), a daily market brief, and an autonomous agent that makes simulated trading decisions.

About historical statistics

Where we show measured historical figures — for example, how a stock behaved in the month after similar past price moves — those describe what already happened, computed from historical prices. They are not forecasts, and the sample sizes are often small. Past performance does not predict future results.

About option prices

Option premiums in My PaperTrader are not live market quotes. Real-time option chains are a premium data product we don't license. Instead we estimate premiums using a standard pricing model (Black-Scholes) driven by the live underlying price and estimated volatility.

The mechanics you learn — strikes, expiries, time decay, exercise, how leverage magnifies both directions — are real and transferable. The exact prices are approximations and will differ from a real broker's.

About margin

Simulated margin lets you borrow virtual money to buy more than your virtual cash allows.

Leverage amplifies losses exactly as much as it amplifies gains, and you still owe the loan regardless of which way the trade went. If your equity falls below the maintenance requirement, positions are sold automatically, often at the worst possible moment. Interest accrues daily.

This is included precisely so you can experience a margin call somewhere it costs you nothing. Please take the lesson seriously — in real markets, this is where inexperienced traders are most often wiped out.

Simulated results are not real results

Even a perfect simulation cannot reproduce real trading. In real markets you also face slippage, partial fills, liquidity constraints, fees, taxes, spreads, halts, and — hardest of all — your own emotions with real money on the line. Doing well here does not mean you would do well with real money.

Market data

Prices, charts, company data, and news come from third-party providers and may be delayed, interrupted, incomplete, or inaccurate. We do not independently verify them.

In one sentence: use My PaperTrader to learn how markets work and how you behave, not to decide what to do with your savings.
